Job Description – HR Manager
Position: HR Manager – Corporate HR
Department: Human Resources
Location: Corporate Office
Experience: 6 – 10 years
Reporting To: AVP – HR
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented HR Manager to join our Corporate HR team. The role will be responsible for supporting and coordinating HR functions across the organisation, working closely with property-level HR teams and corporate leadership to ensure effective implementation of HR processes, policies, and people initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to hospitality HR, good knowledge of HR operations and labour compliance, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders across hotels, resorts, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate HR Operations
- Coordinate and monitor HR processes across various properties and corporate functions.
- Ensure effective implementation of corporate HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide HR support and guidance to unit HR Managers on day-to-day HR matters.
- Review and monitor HR reports, manpower status, vacancies, employee movements, and other HR MIS.
- Coordinate with different departments and properties for timely completion of HR activities.
2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Coordinate with recruitment teams and unit HR Managers on manpower requirements.
- Support recruitment for key and critical positions across properties.
- Monitor vacancies and recruitment status across units.
- Participate in interviews and selection of managerial and critical positions whenever required.
- Support manpower planning based on business requirements and upcoming projects.
3. Employee Relations
- Support unit HR teams in handling employee relations matters.
- Assist in resolving employee grievances and workplace concerns.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and escalation of employee-related issues.
- Promote positive employee engagement and organisational culture across properties.
4. Performance Management
- Coordinate the implementation of performance management processes across units.
- Monitor probation confirmations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and related HR processes.
- Support managers and HR teams in addressing performance-related matters.
5. HR Policies & Processes
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and SOPs.
- Ensure consistent application of HR practices across properties.
- Identify gaps in existing HR processes and recommend improvements.
- Support corporate HR initiatives and special projects.
6. Learning & Development
- Coordinate with the L&D team and property HR teams to identify training requirements.
- Support implementation of organisational development and employee development initiatives.
- Monitor participation and effectiveness of key HR development programmes.
7. Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate with property HR teams to ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Monitor statutory records, registers, licences, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams and external consultants wherever required.
8. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and review regular HR reports and dashboards.
- Analyse manpower, attrition, recruitment, absenteeism, employee movement, and other HR data.
- Present key HR information to senior management as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of HR reports from properties.
9. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support organisation-wide employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate corporate HR programmes and employee welfare initiatives.
- Promote organisational values and a consistent employee experience across properties.
10. Corporate HR Projects
- Participate in corporate HR projects and new property/pre-opening initiatives.
- Support HR due diligence, manpower planning, recruitment, and onboarding for new projects.
- Undertake additional HR responsibilities and projects assigned by senior management.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 6–10 years of relevant HR experience in the hospitality industry is preferred. .
- Experience working with multiple hotels/resorts or a multi-unit organisation will be an advantage.
- Corporate HR experience will be preferred.
