As the brand continues to expand, it is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Head of HR to build and scale the people function end-to-end.
Role Overview
The Head of HR will serve as the people partner for the entire business—from brewery floors to boardrooms. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring someone who can design strong HR frameworks while actively managing day-to-day people challenges in a fast-paced F&B environment.
You will oversee talent across multiple locations, build a scalable HR infrastructure, and nurture a culture of ownership, accountability, and hospitality excellence. You will also collaborate closely with outlet managers, the operations head, and the leadership team to ensure people decisions align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across all levels—front-of-house staff, kitchen teams, operational staff, and management roles.
- Build strong talent pipelines for high-attrition roles in the F&B sector across Bangalore and Hyderabad.
- Partner with operations and outlet management to forecast hiring needs and prevent critical vacancies.
- Execute sourcing strategies through referrals, direct outreach, and local hiring channels.
- Ensure fast, structured hiring with robust interviewing and onboarding processes.
Talent Retention & Employee Engagement
- Develop retention strategies tailored to both floor staff and leadership roles.
- Conduct stay interviews and analyze exits to address early risk indicators.
- Design engagement initiatives suited for shift-based hospitality teams with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Build a positive work environment that is energetic, inclusive, and performance-driven.
- Lead recognition programs celebrating individual and team achievements.
HR Operations, Policies & Compliance
- Create, implement, and document HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks tailored to the F&B industry.
- Ensure full compliance with PF, ESI, Shops & Establishments Act, FSSAI labor guidelines, and other relevant regulations in Karnataka and Telangana.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including offers, onboarding, confirmations, appraisals, transfers, and exits.
- Oversee payroll inputs, attendance systems, leave management, and HRIS operations in coordination with finance.
- Address disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution professionally.
Organisational Development & Workforce Planning
- Work with leadership to define org structure and manpower planning for new and existing outlets.
- Identify training needs, especially for frontline hospitality and safety standards.
- Build internal leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.
- Drive the performance management process, including goal-setting and appraisals.
Multi-location HR Management
- Act as the SPOC for all HR matters across Bangalore and Hyderabad locations.
- Build and manage a lean HR team for on-ground support across outlets.
- Standardize HR practices while respecting local operational and cultural nuances.
- Support shift planning, staffing during peak seasons, and special events.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- 8–10 years of HR experience, with at least 4–5 years in F&B, hospitality, or QSR.
- Experience managing HR for multi-location, shift-oriented workforces of 300+ employees.
- Strong background in high-volume recruitment, especially for kitchen and service roles.
- Prior exposure to building HR systems and policies from the ground up.
- Experience in founder-led or fast-growing companies is a strong advantage.
