Job Description

Position: MBA HR Intern
Location: Raipur / Remote / Hybrid
Duration: 3 Months (Internship)
Stipend: ₹5,000/month
Full-Time Opportunity: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000/month (post successful internship conversion)

Nukkad Cafe is a national award-winning, community-first cafe brand with 5 branches across 3 cities. We are built on strong DEIA principles, creating inclusive employment opportunities for diverse communities.

Our team of 90+ members includes transgender individuals, surrendered Naxalites, hearing-impaired and deaf employees, as well as women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs). We strive to create a workplace where dignity, accessibility, and belonging are foundational.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an MBA (HR) intern who is passionate about people, culture, and inclusive workplaces. This role offers hands-on exposure to HR practices within a community-driven and DEIA-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews
  • Support onboarding processes with a focus on inclusive experiences
  • Help design and implement HR policies aligned with DEIA principles
  • Coordinate internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain HR documentation and records
  • Assist in organizing community and team-building activities
Key Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed MBA in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sensitivity towards diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • Willingness to learn or adapt to Indian Sign Language (ISL) or American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, community-oriented environment

Preferred (Not Mandatory):
  • Basic understanding or exposure to DEIA practices
  • Familiarity with ISL or ASL
  • Prior internship or project experience in HR
