Human Resources Intern
Job Description
What you'll do
- —Run onboarding for new joiners: paperwork, accounts, the first-week plan
- —Keep employee records and trackers accurate and up to date
- —Answer the routine questions people bring to HR, and know which ones to escalate
- —Coordinate interviews, inductions and internal sessions
- —Pull together simple reports on headcount, attendance and joining status
- —Help run engagement activities without them quietly becoming your whole job
What success looks like
- —In your first 30 days: onboarded your first joiners with someone checking your work
- —In your first 30 days: know where every record lives and who owns it
- —By 60 days: running onboarding end to end on your own
- —By 60 days: producing the weekly headcount and joining report without being asked
- —By 90 days: trusted with a process of your own from start to finish
- —By 90 days: fixed one thing about how we do it that was quietly wasting time
What we're looking for
- —Written communication — writes a short, clear message a candidate or a hiring manager can act on without needing a reply
- —Coordination — keeps a process with several people and dates in it from slipping
- —Fairness and policy awareness — notices a question or a criterion that should not be used, and says so
- —Learning speed — picks up something unfamiliar quickly and can say how they went about it
Helpful, but not required
- —Reading people data — reads a simple headcount or funnel report and sees what it is telling you
- —Ownership — closes the loop without being chased, and says early when something has gone wrong
- —Our applicant tracking system and internal trackers (you can learn this here)
- —How we run intake calls with hiring managers (you can learn this here)
- —Sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter and Naukri (you can learn this here)
- —Screening conventions for the market you cover (you can learn this here)
What counts as experience
You do not need a formal job to apply. We look at what you have actually done, wherever you did it.
- —Any HR or recruitment internship, however short
- —Placement committee, campus recruitment or student-body hiring
- —A project where you interviewed, screened or coordinated people
- —Anything you have used an AI assistant for, and what you were trying to do with it

How hiring works here
Your application is read by a person. The assessment helps us see how you think, not how well you write a CV.
- —A 15-minute skills assessment — 8 short questions about the actual work. No trivia.
- —An optional 15–30 second video introduction. Skipping it does not affect your result.
- —A 20-minute online assessment - 12 short questions about how you would handle real situations
- —A 20-minute call with the talent team, focused on how you think and how you speak
- —A conversation with the person you would report to
- —Decision within a week of the final conversation
- —Timeline: Two weeks from application to decision
