At a company our size, and one that's growing fast, HR isn't a department. It's a person. That person needs to handle hiring, client account management, payroll coordination, and the occasional can you help me find a good team lunch spot request. That person might be you. What your day actually looks like

You'll sit close to leadership, which means you'll have real visibility into how the business runs. Not just the people side, but hiring decisions, vendor negotiations, billing coordination, and how the team operates day to day. There's no HR hierarchy above you, no playbook handed down from a central function. You'll be building the processes, not just running them.

Some days you'll be sourcing candidates and coordinating interviews. Other days you'll be chasing an invoice, onboarding a vendor, or making sure a teammate's equipment request doesn't fall through the cracks. The role spans further than a typical HR title because the team needs it to. If that sounds like too much, it probably is. Key responsibilities

  • Talent acquisition: Lead end-to-end hiring processes, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • HR processes and compliance: Establish and maintain company-level HR policies, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Employee operations: Manage day-to-day HR operations such as leave and attendance records, payroll coordination, and equipment and access requests.
  • Performance management: Support performance review cycles, feedback sessions, and related processes to ensure continuous development.
  • Administrative and Billing support: Assist in basic administrative tasks including client billing coordination, invoice tracking, follow-ups, and maintaining records in collaboration with the finance team to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Vendor management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors across HR services, website or CRM development, and other support functions; manage ongoing relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Operations support: Assist in project coordination with teammates, set up the right processes such as capturing minutes of meetings, and follow up to ensure timely execution of key initiatives.
  • Executive assistance: Provide administrative support to leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and follow-ups on key action items.
  • People partnering: Act as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and HR support, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation, databases, and reports for management insights.
  • Employee engagement: Plan and drive initiatives to strengthen team culture, foster collaboration, and keep employees motivated and connected.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in HR or related functions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
