About the Role

We're looking for a handson HR generalist (1.53 years) who can own fullstack HR: recruitment, payroll administration, statutory compliance, HR operations, and employee engagement. You'll partner closely with leadership to hire top tech talent, institutionalize clean processes, and shape culture in a fastmoving environment.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition (Campus + Lateral)

  1. Endtoend hiring: JD calibration, sourcing (LinkedIn/communities/referrals), screening, coordination, structured interviews, offers, and closures (incl. documentation & background checks).
  2. Build pipelines for technical roles (engineering, product) and core business roles; drive toptier college programs and referral engines.
  3. Maintain dashboards: timetofill, funnel health, offertojoin, source mix.

HR Operations & Payroll

  1. Run onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, letter management (offer/appointment/experience), and employee records.
  2. Own payroll administration (inputs, validation, reconciliations), and coordinate with Finance for TDS, reimbursements, F&F.
  3. Set up a compliance calendar and maintain documentation.

Compliance & Policy

  1. Ensure adherence to Indian labor laws and statutory requirements: PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments, PoSH coordination, and audits/inspections support.
  2. Draft/refresh clear policies (leave/attendance, travel/expense, code of conduct) and communicate changes.

Performance, Engagement & Culture

  1. Coordinate quarterly goals/OKRs cycles; track inputs, reviews, and followups with managers.
  2. Run highsignal engagement rituals (town halls, demos, learning circles, pulse checks/eNPS) and close the loop with visible actions.
  3. Enable managers with toolkits for feedback, recognition, and growth.

People Analytics

  1. Publish simple, decisionready HR dashboards: hiring velocity, offer health, attendance/leave trends, retention risk, compliance status, engagement signals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

  1. Masters in Business Administration with Major Specialisation in Human Resources.
  2. Technical undergraduate degree (e.g., B.Tech) preferredcombines technical understanding with HR expertise for a GenAI startup context.

Experience

  1. 1.53 years of handson HR generalist experience covering recruitment, payroll administration, statutory compliance, and employee engagement.
  2. Demonstrated exposure to hiring processes and endtoend HR operations.

*Plus: Experience in a tech company or startup, especially with technical recruitment or fastpaced HR ops.

Skills & Knowledge

  1. Working knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments; familiarity with PoSH coordination).
  2. Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll tools (e.g., Keka, Darwinbox) and ATS for recruitment (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Recruiterflow).
  3. Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, and candidate experience.
  4. Comfortable with spreadsheets/BI for basic HR analytics and reporting.
