About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR manager with a strong background in the logistics / supply chain industry to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations. The role requires hands-on expertise in managing both white-collar and blue-collar workforces, ensuring smooth HR processes aligned with fast-paced logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning -

Manage end-to-end recruitment for logistics roles (warehouse staff, drivers, operations, back office).

Coordinate with the operations team for manpower planning and workforce forecasting.

Handle sourcing, screening, interviews, offer rollout, and onboarding.

Build strong hiring pipelines for high-volume and quick-turnaround hiring.

2. Payroll & Attendance Management -

Oversee payroll processing, salary disbursement, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, etc.).

Ensure accurate attendance tracking, shift management, and overtime calculations.

Handle vendor coordination (if payroll is outsourced).

Maintain employee records and HRMIS systems.

3. HR Operations & Compliance -

Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.

Manage employee documentation, audits, and legal compliance.

Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and processes.

Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and employee relations.

4. Employee Engagement & Team Building -

Design and execute employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities.

Drive retention strategies for the warehouse and operations workforce.

Conduct training, onboarding programmes, and skill development initiatives.

Foster a positive and performance-driven work culture.

5. Performance Management & HR Strategy -

Implement performance appraisal systems and KPI tracking.

Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.

Identify workforce gaps and build succession planning strategies.

Support organisational growth and scaling initiatives.

6. Team Leadership -

Lead and mentor the HR team.

Set KPIs and monitor team performance.

Ensure smooth coordination between HR, operations, and management.

Requirements -

2-3 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in the logistics / supply chain / warehousing industry.

Strong experience in bulk hiring and blue-collar workforce management.

Hands-on knowledge of payroll, compliance, and labour laws.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Preferred Skills -

Experience with HRMS / payroll software.

Strong coordination with operations teams.

Data-driven decision-making and reporting skills.
