Pasban — The Gatekeeper is founded by Akhil Anand, who built Tree of Life Resorts & Hotels into one of India's most respected boutique hospitality brands — scaling it to eighteen operating destinations across the country. Pasban is his next chapter, carrying forward the same philosophy: small inventory, strong sense of place, real local food, and unhurried service. We operate a growing portfolio of experiential boutique hotels across India.

About the role The HR Executive is the cultural and operational anchor for our people. Based in our corporate office in Saket, New Delhi, you will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle — from finding the right talent for our corporate team and boutique properties, to ensuring their onboarding, engagement, and daily HR operations run smoothly. In a boutique hospitality company, our people are our actual product. This role requires someone who is deeply empathetic, highly organized, and understands how to hire and nurture talent that aligns with our unhurried service philosophy.

Key responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Own full-cycle recruitment for property-level and corporate roles — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
  • Onboarding: Ensure a warm, structured, and seamless joining experience for every new hire, setting them up for success from day one.
  • HR Operations & Payroll: Manage employee records, attendance, leave tracking, and coordinate with finance for smooth monthly payroll processing.
  • Employee Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and well-being. Drive initiatives that build culture across the corporate office and our remote properties.
  • Property Coordination: Work closely with Hotel Managers across our properties to anticipate staffing needs and resolve on-ground HR issues.
  • Compliance & Policies: Assist in drafting, updating, and enforcing HR policies and ensuring basic statutory compliance.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years of core HR experience as a generalist or recruiter.
  • Background in hospitality, travel, or retail is strongly preferred, as it helps to understand the realities of unit-level staffing and 24/7 operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills — both written and spoken. You will be the first voice of Pasban for every candidate.
  • High emotional intelligence, approachability, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with maturity.
  • Strong organizational skills and working knowledge of HRMS tools, job portals
  • A proactive mindset — someone who doesn't wait for instructions to fix a broken process.

The role at a glance

  • Full-time, based out of our corporate office in Saket, New Delhi.
  • Office hours are 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with alternate Saturdays off.
  • Compensation in line with industry standards and discussed after a first conversation.
