Job Description

Job description

Location : Accra, Ghana

Type : Full Time, on site

We are looking for a hands-on HR professional who is focused on execution, discipline, and accountability.

This is not a policy-writing or strategy-only role.

This role requires someone who is actively involved in day-to-day operations, ensures standards are followed, and takes ownership of people-related challenges across the organization.

If you prefer structured environments, predictable workflows, and minimal confrontation—this role is not for you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Hiring Execution

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (screening, interviews, reference checks)

• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or dishonesty in candidate profiles

• Ensure only candidates aligned with company expectations are hired

• Maintain strong control over hiring standards — no compromise hiring

2. Onboarding & Probation Management

• Closely monitor new hires during probation period

• Conduct regular performance and behavior evaluations

• Take decisive actions (confirmation, extension, or termination)

• Ensure new hires integrate quickly into company culture and expectations

3. Discipline & Performance Management

• Enforce company policies strictly and consistently

• Address underperformance immediately — no delays or avoidance

• Conduct difficult conversations with clarity and authority

• Work closely with department heads to resolve people-related issues

4. Attendance, Conduct & Compliance

• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and workplace behavior

• Ensure daily discipline across teams

• Investigate and resolve misconduct cases

• Maintain proper HR documentation and reporting

5. Employee Relations (Practical, Not Theoretical)

• Act as a control point between management and staff

• Handle complaints, conflicts, and escalations directly

• Maintain balance between fairness and company interest

• Prevent small issues from becoming operational problems

6. HR Operations & Administration

• Maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation

• Coordinate payroll inputs, leave tracking, and HR reporting

• Ensure all HR processes are executed accurately and on time

Candidate Profile

• 3–7 years of experience in HR, preferably in operations-heavy environments (hospitality, construction, facilities, retail, etc.)

• Strong personality with the ability to enforce rules and handle pressure

• Not conflict-avoidant — comfortable making tough decisions

• High attention to detail and strong follow-up discipline

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

• Practical mindset — focused on solutions, not theory

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a corporate HR role focused on presentations and policies

• Not a passive support function

• Not suitable for candidates who avoid confrontation or decision-making

What Success Looks Like

• Low tolerance for poor performance across teams

• Strong hiring quality (reduced bad hires)

• Disciplined, structured workforce

  • • Issues identified and resolved early — not escalated late
