THE ROLE
As HR Executive at Loco Otro, you'll be the heart of our people operations, ensuring our team members feel valued, supported, and excited to be part of our journey. From recruitment to employee engagement, you'll manage the complete people experience with empathy, street-smart thinking, and genuine care. YOUR TEAM
You'll work closely with:
- Restaurant Manager (your direct reporting manager)
- Restaurant management teams across all locations
- Kitchen and service teams
- Finance team for payroll and administrative support
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Talent Acquisition Support: Assist the HR Manager in the recruitment process from job posting to offer negotiation, using your people skills to help identify candidates who align with our culture and values.
- Employee Onboarding: Support in creating smooth, welcoming onboarding experiences that make new team members feel excited about joining Loco Otro from day one.
- Daily HR Operations: Handle day-to-day HR activities including attendance management, leave processing, employee documentation, and other administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Employee Relations: Be the go-to person for employee queries, concerns, and feedback, handling situations with empathy and finding solutions that work for everyone.
- Culture Building: Organize engagement activities, team building events, and initiatives that strengthen our workplace culture and team spirit.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent Loco Otro at job fairs, networking events, and in all candidate interactions as someone who genuinely believes in what we do.
- Performance Support: Work with managers to address performance issues constructively and help team members grow in their roles.
- Compliance: Ensure all HR processes comply with labor laws and company policies while maintaining a people-first approach.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of HR experience in any industry (hospitality, IT, retail, FMCG, or any other field)
- People Skills: Natural ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and make them feel comfortable
- Judgment: Street-smart instincts to assess candidate suitability and cultural fit quickly and accurately
- Empathy: Genuine care for employee wellbeing and ability to handle sensitive situations with understanding
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills that inspire confidence and trust
- Brand Pride: Someone who takes ownership of representing the company and can authentically share what makes Loco Otro special
- Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced restaurant environment with changing priorities
- Basic HR Knowledge: Understanding of basic HR processes, employment laws, and administrative functions
