Job Description

Job Description: HR Executive

Company: Lemolite Technologies

Location: Ahmedabad, in-office (we build in the same room)

Reports to: Chief Business Officer (CBO)

Experience: 2–4 years of actually running HR, not just forwarding emails

Employment type: Full-time

About the role

We're growing fast. The team is getting bigger, the policies just got real, and HR can't be a side task anymore. We're looking for one person to own the people side of the business, end to end.

Here's the deal: HR here isn't a back office. One day you're closing a hire we needed yesterday. The next you're fixing an attendance mess before payroll runs. Then you're explaining the leave policy for the fifth time that week, with a smile. Then a review cycle needs to actually happen, not just get planned.

If that sounds like a lot, this isn't for you. If that sounds like a system you'd love to run, keep reading.

What you'll do

Time keeping & attendance

  • Monitor daily attendance on our HRMS, covering check-ins, breaks, check-outs and exceptions.
  • Process missed-punch and regularisation requests within policy timelines.
  • Apply grace periods, late marks, comp-offs and holidays consistently.
  • Act as First Approver on leave requests and maintain accurate balances, including year-end encashment.
  • Share a monthly attendance and leave summary with payroll, and flag unauthorised absences.

Policy development & implementation

  • Roll out our HR policy suite and collect a signed acknowledgement from every employee.
  • Answer policy questions clearly, consistently and fairly.
  • Support drafting of new policies and amendments under the Indian Labour Codes and Gujarat requirements, including Professional Tax.
  • Maintain the policy register, version control and review schedule.
  • Keep HR records and statutory registers audit-ready.

Hiring & onboarding

  • Run recruitment from role scoping with team leads through JDs, sourcing, screening and interviews.
  • Keep candidates warm and informed, whatever the outcome.
  • Prepare offer and appointment letters, and complete background and document verification.
  • Handle joining formalities, HRMS setup, policy induction and probation tracking.
  • Track time-to-hire, source quality and offer acceptance to improve the process.

Performance tracking

  • Run probation reviews and confirmations on schedule.
  • Manage the review cycle, from goal-setting and check-ins through to annual appraisals, and follow up with managers until every review is done.
  • Maintain performance records and support improvement plans.
  • Report attrition, engagement and performance trends to leadership.

General HR operations

  • Manage exits, including exit interviews, clearances and full-and-final settlement coordination.
  • Handle grievances fairly and discreetly.
  • Support engagement activities and internal communication.
  • Replace manual or unclear processes with simple, lightweight systems.

Who we're looking for

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are highly organised and follow through reliably.
  • Can be trusted with sensitive information and difficult conversations.
  • Understand that HR serves both the business and its people.
  • Are resourceful. When you don't know something, you work it out.
  • Communicate clearly and warmly in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

You'll likely bring:

  • A graduate degree. An MBA/PGDM in HR is a plus.
  • A background in HR operations or generalist HR, ideally at an IT or technology company.
  • Working knowledge of Indian labour law and the new Labour Codes.
  • Hands-on HRMS experience, plus Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Hiring experience for both technical and non-technical roles.

We care more about trajectory, judgement and ownership than a particular career path.

What success looks like

In your first 3 months, attendance, leave and payroll inputs will be accurate and on time. Every employee will have acknowledged the policy suite. Open roles will move through a consistent hiring process.

By 6 months, the first review cycle will be complete, confirmations will happen on time, and the team will rely on you as the person who knows the answer, or finds it.

Over time, you'll have real scope to shape how HR works at Lemolite and to grow the role with the company.

What we offer

  • Working hours: 09:30 to 18:30, Monday to Saturday
  • 10 paid public holidays each year
  • After confirmation: 18 days of Privilege Leave a year with year-end encashment, Birthday Leave, and 8 working days of Marriage Leave
  • Direct exposure to leadership and to decisions across the business
  • Compensation: To be discussed with the right applicant
