Job Description

Company Description

Basil is a fast-growing food brand built on transparency, real ingredients, and freshly prepared food every time. The company focuses on honest food, avoiding labels such as good or bad, and instead clearly communicating what goes into every dish. Basil currently operates more than 60 outlets across Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Delhi and is rapidly expanding toward 1,000 touchpoints over the next three years. As a team member, you would join an organisation that is rethinking how India eats through fast, fresh, and transparent food experiences.

Role Description

The Human Resources Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, and supporting team members across Basil's outlets. This full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India includes handling employee onboarding and offboarding, maintaining HR records, and coordinating payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with relevant teams. The role involves addressing employee queries, supporting performance management processes, and fostering positive employee relations through engagement initiatives. The Human Resources Executive will also assist in recruitment activities, coordinate training and development programs, and help ensure compliance with local labor laws and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including experience supporting HR functions in a growing organisation.
  • Hands-on experience in HR Operations and Talent Acquisition (blue-collar hiring), with the ability to implement and maintain HR processes and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Employee Relations, handle employee concerns professionally, and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance relevant to retail, hospitality, or food service environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and frontline staff.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS or HR-related software and basic MS Office tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience in multi-outlet or fast-paced businesses is an advantage.
  • A laptop is a must.
