Position Overview

As Maxima Apparel and its family of brands continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director (HRD) to lead our HR strategy and people operations. The HRD will play a critical leadership role in shaping organizational culture, developing talent strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.

This position will partner closely with executive leadership and department heads to build scalable HR systems that support growth, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership

Develop and implement the company's overall HR strategy aligned with business goals.

Lead and mentor the HR team while building a highperformance HR function.

Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic workforce planning and talent management.

Drive initiatives related to organizational design, leadership development, and succession planning.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Oversee recruitment strategy and workforce planning to support company expansion.

Ensure efficient hiring processes and employer branding strategies.

Partner with hiring managers and executives to identify future talent needs.

Monitor recruitment metrics such as timetohire, costperhire, and talent quality.

Employee Relations & Culture

Build a strong employeecentric culture aligned with company values.

Address complex employee relations matters and conflict resolution.

Lead employee engagement programs and retention strategies.

Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

Ensure HR policies comply with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Oversee HR operations including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.

Manage compliance audits and maintain accurate HR documentation.

Develop and update HR policies and procedures.

Performance Management & Development

Design and oversee companywide performance management frameworks.

Lead leadership development and training initiatives.

Establish career development and succession planning programs.

Ensure continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

HR Analytics & Reporting

Track HR metrics and provide strategic insights to executive leadership.

Develop dashboards for workforce analytics, retention trends, and productivity metrics.

Use datadriven insights to improve HR effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.

Experience leading HR teams and developing HR strategies in growing organizations.

Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.

Technical Skills

HRIS / ERP systems (Odoo, SAP SuccessFactors, Zoho People, or similar)

HR analytics and reporting tools

Recruitment and talent management platforms

Payroll and workforce management systems

Leadership & Soft Skills

Strategic thinking and leadership capability

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer / Executive Leadership Team

Leads: HR Team (HR Specialists, Recruiters, HR Operations)

Collaborates with: Department Heads and Finance Team

Location & Work Mode

Location: Gurgaon Office

Work Mode: Onsite US shift (working closely with the US team)
