Job Description

Job Summary:

As the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for India, you'll act as the go-to people leader for your geography—connecting our global HR strategy to local needs. You'll build trusted relationships with managers and employees, helping shape a positive culture while ensuring compliance with local labor laws. This role blends strategic partnership and hands-on HR delivery.

Core Duties

  • Partner with leaders to align HR initiatives with business goals and local culture
  • Coach managers on leadership, feedback, and team performance. Facilitate leadership development and training programs
  • Lead local engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
  • Lead end-to-end hiring processes including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding
  • Support performance management processes and goal setting. Drive performance and development conversations across the team
  • Lead local pay and benefits alignment
  • Address employee concerns and manage workplace conflicts. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment contracts, and statutory reporting
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in Workday
  • Analyze people data and share insights to inform leadership decisions
  • Continuously look for ways to simplify and improve HR processes
  • Other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years as an HRBP or HR Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Strong understanding of local employment laws and best practices
  • Proven experience in a global or matrixed organization
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills across cultures
  • A balanced mindset—strategic thinker and practical problem solver
  • Comfortable using HRIS systems (e.g., Workday (preferred), SAP SuccessFactors) and HR data analytics
  • Fluent in English and Hindi
  • Travel requirements of 25%
  • This is a full time in office position in Pune
  • Local candidates preferred
