Where Ownership Ends, and Influence Continues

This role does not own administrative HR operations (payroll, policy admin, or HRIS maintenance). It also does not replace people managers in owning day-to-day team feedback or individual career decisionsyou are the architect and coach, not the manager of their teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: 35 years of experience in an HRBP or People Partner role, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth tech environment.
  • BU Ownership: Proven track record of owning the people strategy for a specific Business Unit or department, acting as a bridge between leadership and individual contributors.
  • Strategic Execution: Experience designing and driving strategic people initiatives from scratch, rather than just executing existing playbooks.
  • Domain Expertise: Hands-on experience in at least one of the following pillars: Performance Management, Talent Management, or Workforce Planning.
  • Highly Analytical: You lead with data. You are comfortable building headcount models, analyzing attrition trends, and using metrics to influence business decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and provide candid, constructive feedback to senior stakeholders.

Day to Day

  • Partner with BU leaders on people decisions, priorities, and team health.
  • Review people metrics (attrition, engagement, performance signals) and flag risks early.
  • Support managers on performance, feedback, role clarity, and difficult conversations.
  • Handle employee concerns with neutrality, discretion, and follow-through.
  • Drive ongoing performance, engagement, and pulse check rhythms.
  • Collaborate with TA, HR Ops, and Finance on hiring and workforce planning
