HR Business Partner – India (IC Role)

Job Overview

At Ecolab, you will partner with business leaders to drive people strategy and deliver end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in enabling business growth through effective talent management, strong employee relations, and robust HR process execution.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the HR Director – India, supporting multiple business units.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business leaders to plan and execute HR strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (selection, onboarding, development, engagement, and exits)
  • Drive labour relations and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive work environment
  • Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance management practices
  • Support talent development, training, and succession planning initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment, affirmative action, and statutory regulations
  • Maintain and oversee HR records, reporting, and employee services delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and programmes aligned with corporate frameworks
  • Drive HR analytics and reporting, including use of tools like Workday and Excel
  • Influence stakeholders through strong communication, problem-solving, and business acumen

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner / Generalist role
  • Experience in managing end-to-end HR lifecycle processes
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and HR governance
  • Working knowledge of HR systems (preferably Workday)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an MNC environment within manufacturing or industrial sector
  • Strong executive presence with effective communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability in stakeholder management and influencing leadership decisions
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to convert data into business insights
