Role Summary

ARK Solutions is seeking a hands-on and people-focused Manager – HR Operations & Employee Experience to oversee the complete employee lifecycle for ARK's India operations. This position will serve as the primary point of accountability for day-to-day HR operations in India, including onboarding, employee relations, attendance and leave management, payroll coordination, benefits administration, training coordination, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, and offboarding. The individual will work closely with India leadership, department managers, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure employees receive timely support and that HR processes are followed consistently. The role will also participate in the India hiring process as a second-level interviewer, helping ARK evaluate candidate suitability beyond technical qualifications. This position is responsible for India HR operations only and does not manage U.S. HR operations or U.S. benefits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in HR operations, employee relations, or HR generalist roles in India.
  • At least 3 years of experience independently managing HR operations or a significant portion of the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian employment practices, payroll coordination, leave administration, benefits, employee documentation, and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee grievances, performance concerns, corrective actions, and sensitive workplace matters.
  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, training, and engagement programs.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Talent Acquisition and participate in structured candidate interviews.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow through on multiple employee matters and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, process-driven, and accountability-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with HR systems, Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and employee-record management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or postgraduate HR qualification is preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, recruitment, technology, professional services, or a U.S.-based organization with India operations is preferred.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Consistent and timely onboarding of India employees.
  • Accurate attendance, leave, payroll, and employee documentation.
  • Prompt resolution of employee questions and workplace grievances.
  • Improved coordination between HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and department managers.
  • Properly documented and consistently managed performance discussions.
  • High completion rates for required training and performance reviews.
  • A professional and consistent employee offboarding process.
  • Improved employee engagement, communication, and workplace morale.
  • Reduced avoidable attrition and earlier identification of employee concerns.
  • Reliable compliance with India HR policies, processes, and applicable requirements.
  • Clear ownership of the employee experience from candidate selection through separation.
