Job Description

About the Role*

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in aligning people strategy with business goals across fast-growing and cross-functional teams such as Product, Tech, Sales, or Academics. You'll work closely with leaders to shape culture, build high-performing teams, and drive initiatives across talent, engagement, and performance in a dynamic, mission-driven edtech environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

Strategic Partnering

* Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, understanding their goals and translating them into people strategies.

* Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives aligned with business growth.

Talent Management & Development

* Partner with leaders on OKR alignment, goal setting, and performance reviews.

* Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning and leadership development.

* Collaborate with L&D to deliver targeted development programs.

Culture & Engagement

* Build and drive engagement strategies based on pulse checks, feedback, and retention insights.

* Champion company values and create rituals that reinforce culture across teams.

* Support DEI and wellness initiatives to enhance employee experience.

People Operations & Compliance

* Partner with HR Ops for seamless execution of onboarding, exits, and HR policies.

* Handle employee relations issues with sensitivity and fairness.

* Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

Data & Insights

* Use people analytics to monitor attrition, engagement, productivity, and hiring effectiveness.

* Present actionable insights to business and HR leadership for data-driven decisions.

*Qualifications*

* 3-5 years of HRBP or generalist experience in high-growth environments (tech/startups/edtech preferred)

* Strong understanding of talent practices across performance, engagement, learning, and change management

* Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

* Comfort with ambiguity and ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving setup

* Hands-on and execution-oriented, with a strategic mindset

*Preferred Experience*

* Experience partnering with Product, Tech, Sales, or Academic teams

* Exposure to working with founders or CXOs directly

* Certification in coaching, HR analytics, or behavioral assessments (nice to have)
