Job Description
Role Overview
We're looking for a proactive, execution-focused HR & Business Operations Executive to manage day-to-day HR operations and recruitment (60%) while supporting core business operations (40%). The role suits someone comfortable running HR processes independently while coordinating across teams, tracking deliverables, and owning tasks to closure.
A. HR Operations & Recruitment (60%)
Employee Lifecycle & Documentation
- Manage onboarding, documentation, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exit formalities
- Maintain accurate employee records, background verification, and HRMS setup
- Coordinate exit processes including clearance, exit interviews, and relieving documentation
Attendance, Leave & Payroll
- Monitor attendance, leave records, and regularizations in HRMS
- Prepare and validate payroll inputs (deductions, LOP, new joiners, exits)
- Resolve routine payroll queries and maintain confidential payroll records
HRMS & MIS
- Maintain and update employee master data (salary, designation, reporting lines)
- Prepare HR MIS on headcount, attendance, hiring, and attrition
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all employee data
Policy & Process Support
- Support drafting and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and process documents
- Assist with statutory/labour compliance activities
- Identify and recommend HR process improvements
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing (Naukri, LinkedIn, Internshala, referrals), screening, and shortlisting
- Conduct HR screening calls; coordinate interviews and feedback
- Maintain recruitment tracker; coordinate offers, documentation, and follow-up through joining
Recruitment MIS
- Track hiring metrics (CVs, screenings, interviews, offers, joins) and turnaround time
- Maintain pipelines for recurring/critical roles; evaluate sourcing channel effectiveness
B. Core Business Operations (40%)
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate cross-team execution of deliverables and business requirements
- Track tasks, dependencies, and pending actions; escalate delays as needed
- Maintain structured trackers for operational activities
MIS & Data Management
- Prepare operational MIS/reports; consolidate and validate data across teams
- Maintain dashboards and trackers; analyze data for gaps and trends
Process & Workflow Management
- Monitor workflows for adherence to timelines; identify bottlenecks
- Support SOP/checklist documentation and process standardization
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Sales, Product, Tech, Finance, and HR on operational needs
- Coordinate meetings, action items, and stakeholder follow-ups
Business/Product Operations Support
- Support operational activities across Earnest's product lines and initiatives
- Track data, documentation, and follow-ups for ongoing business projects
Management Support
- Prepare action trackers from meetings; track decisions and deadlines
- Provide proactive updates on pending/completed items; flag risks early
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, Operations, or related field
- 1–2 years experience in business operations, HR operations, or recruitment
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with HRMS (Zoho People, Keka, greytHR, etc.)
- Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
Good to Have
- Experience in tech/SaaS/fintech/analytics environments
- Exposure to payroll processing, statutory compliance, and KRA/KPI processes
- Experience drafting SOPs and process documentation
Key KPIs
- Timely, accurate employee lifecycle, attendance, and payroll processing
- Recruitment turnaround time and offer-to-joining conversion
- Accuracy and timeliness of HR and operational MIS
- Effective cross-functional coordination and closure of action items
- Process adherence and improvement initiatives
