The Role
As an HR Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting data-driven decision-making and providing valuable insights to the Human Resources (HR) function. Your primary focus will be on collecting, analysing, and interpreting HR data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving HR processes and initiatives.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools and the ability to translate complex HR data into meaningful reports and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather HR-related data such as employee performance, sales achievement, recruitment metrics, HR Hygiene reports, incentive payout, attrition reports,across all business functions.
- Use data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights related to HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Clean, transform, and validate HR data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
2. HR Reporting & Dashboards
- Develop and maintain regular HR reports and dashboards (e.g., headcount, diversity, recruitment funnel, hiring TAT).
- Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
3. Talent Acquisition Metrics
- Track recruiting metrics like time-to-fill, source of hire, and cost-per-hire
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the hiring process and suggest the recommendations based on patterns.
4. Incentive and productivity mapping
- Collaborate with Sales functional heads and Operations teams to ensure accuracy of incentives and productivity as per the Company's processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate sharing of incentive reports as per defined timelines.
5. Organisation Attrition Analysis
- Analyze attrition trends across business units, departments or functions.
- Provide insights towards attrition management via dashboards or other metrics.
- Support initiatives to anlayse, reduce and improve employee retention.
- Develop and maintain reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate attrition data and insights to stakeholders.
6. Employee Engagement & Satisfaction
- Analyze employee survey data and feedback.
- Provide HR data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
7. Compliance & HR Audits
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders and auditors to understand data requirements and develop reports to meet their needs.
- Assist with audits and the preparation of compliance reports.
8. System & Tool Management
- Use HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI and Excel).
- Maintain data integrity, privacy and confidentiality standards in handling sensitive HR data and support system upgrades or transitions.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives related to data analytics, including HR system implementations, process improvements, and automation.
- Identify automation opportunities to streamline HR reporting processes.
Qualification and Required skill set:
- Proven experience as an HR Data Analyst or similar role, with expertise in HR data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex HR data sets.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and programming languages, such as Excel, SQL, or other statistical software. Should demonstrate the ability and understanding to use AI tools for analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and their data structures, including data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is advantageous.
- HR certifications or additional training in data analysis or statistics is a plus.
- Experience in the HR domain or working closely with HR stakeholders is preferred.
