HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) MANAGER
The Company is an automotive workshop providing vehicle repair, servicing, maintenance, polishing and car wash services. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) MANAGER to oversee HR administration, payroll, recruitment, work pass matters, workshop operations, customer coordination and marketing activities.
This is a senior and multi-functional role requiring strong HR knowledge, operational capability, computer skills and proven marketing experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Payroll
- Oversee employee attendance, working hours, overtime, leave and payroll records.
- Manage and verify attendance and overtime through the payroll system.
- Handle payroll-related matters with working knowledge of CPF, IRAS and statutory requirements.
- Manage manpower planning, staff scheduling and workforce allocation.
- Handle employee relations, HR matters and confidential personnel information.
Recruitment & Work Pass Administration
- Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selection and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee and personnel records.
- Handle MOM work pass matters, including applications, renewals, cancellations and related documentation.
- Liaise with MOM and relevant parties on work pass and employment matters.
Workshop & Vehicle Operations
- Oversee the administrative coordination of daily workshop operations.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicles entering and leaving the workshop, including registration numbers, arrival/collection times, job requirements, assigned workers and job status.
- Coordinate vehicle collection from customers and delivery of completed vehicles.
- Monitor repair, servicing, polishing and car wash jobs from arrival to completion.
- Coordinate with mechanics, drivers and management to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
- Follow up on delayed jobs, urgent requests and vehicle movements.
- Customer Coordination
- Manage customer communication relating to repair, servicing, polishing, car wash and vehicle collection/delivery.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service-related issues professionally.
- Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated to the workshop team.
Marketing (3 to 4 Hours Daily)
- Dedicate 3-4 hours daily to marketing activities.
- Proven hands-on marketing experience is required.
- Plan and execute social media marketing, promotions, campaigns and customer engagement activities.
- Create marketing content and promote the company's automotive services.
- Monitor marketing performance and customer response.
- Develop strategies to increase enquiries, bookings and repeat customers.
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily administrative and operational matters of the workshop.
- Maintain effective systems for vehicle and job tracking.
- Prepare Excel reports and operational summaries for management.
- Monitor workflow, identify operational issues and implement practical improvements.
- Develop and improve SOPs and administrative processes where required.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR management, payroll, recruitment, operations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee management and payroll processes.
- Working knowledge of CPF, IRAS and MOM work pass procedures.
- Proven hands-on marketing experience is required.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage employees, customers and multiple operational matters independently.
- Automotive workshop, engineering, fleet or service-industry experience is an advantage.
- Mature, responsible, independent and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a busy and hands-on automotive workshop environment, dealing professionally with workers, mechanics, drivers, customers and management while handling changing priorities and urgent situations.
Working Hours
1:00PM -11:00PM
Working hours are not strictly fixed. Due to workshop operations and urgent jobs, overtime may occasionally be required and working hours may extend until approximately 3:00 AM-4:00 AM the following day.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to work extended hours when operationally required.
Important
This is not a routine office-based HR position. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of the company's HR and operational administration while actively supporting recruitment, payroll, MOM work pass matters, workshop operations, customer coordination and daily marketing activities.
