The Opportunity

We're seeking a high-impact HR Business Partner to work closely with founders and leadership, building a high-performance organisation in a service-driven environment. This role goes beyond traditional HR. It requires someone who can build strong teams, drive hiring quality at pace, and ensure disciplined people practices, while maintaining a sharp understanding of compliance and risk.

The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to the business by aligning people, capability, structure, and culture with Gresham Global's growth ambitions. Drive talent quality, organisational effectiveness, and governance across all people-related decisions.

This is a full-time, office-based role.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with leadership to translate business priorities into structured people plans
  • Drive organisational design, team structures, and workforce planning aligned to growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor on team effectiveness, performance, and leadership capability

Talent Acquisition and Hiring Excellence

  • Own and drive end-to-end hiring across functions with a strong focus on quality and cultural fit
  • Build structured hiring frameworks, assessment methods, and interview rigour
  • Strengthen employer positioning to attract high-calibre talent from strong pedigrees
  • Partner with business leaders to anticipate hiring needs and build strong talent pipelines

Performance and Culture

  • Build and institutionalise performance management frameworks aligned to a high-performance culture
  • Coach managers on performance, feedback, and team development
  • Drive accountability, ownership, and outcome-driven ways of working across teams

Employee Lifecycle and Engagement

  • Oversee onboarding, development, and retention strategies to ensure continuity and stability
  • Manage employee relations with maturity and sound judgement
  • Strengthen engagement through structured interventions aligned to business realities

Governance, Policies, and Compliance

  • Establish and maintain robust HR policies, processes, and documentation
  • Ensure a strong understanding and application of labour laws and regulatory requirements
  • Translate legal and compliance frameworks into practical, implementable HR processes
  • Act as a point of reference for policy interpretation, ensuring consistency and risk mitigation
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, including employment contracts, workplace policies, and regulatory compliance

Data and Insight-Led HR

  • Use data and analytics to drive hiring decisions, performance outcomes, and retention strategies
  • Track key HR metrics and continuously refine people practices

Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 7 years of experience with strong exposure to business partnering and hiring
  • Strong academic pedigree from a reputed institution
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or high-growth environments preferred
  • Demonstrated strength in hiring high-quality talent and building structured recruitment processes
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to apply them in a business context
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and operate with credibility at senior levels
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business outcomes
  • High ownership, attention to detail, and execution rigour
  • Excellent communication, presence, and stakeholder management skills
