About Position:
We are looking for a HubSpot Development Engineer responsible for building, integrating, and maintaining scalable HubSpot CRM solutions. This role focuses on API integrations, data synchronization, authentication, security, and platform architecture, enabling seamless data flow between HubSpot and external systems while ensuring performance, security, and compliance.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain integrations using HubSpot REST APIs for CRM and custom objects.
- Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication for secure application access.
- Design and implement one‑way and two‑way data synchronization using HubSpot Data Sync or custom APIs.
- Handle API rate limits, pagination, and error handling efficiently.
- Build and manage complex integrations using ETL / iPaaS platforms such as Workato.
- Define and manage field mapping, schema validation, and incremental sync strategies.
- Implement OAuth token refresh mechanisms and ensure secure storage of credentials.
- Apply role‑based access control (RBAC) and encryption to protect sensitive data.
- Create and manage sandbox environments for testing and validation.
- Develop and register applications in HubSpots developer portal, configuring scopes and permissions.
- Design backend systems supporting real‑time sync (webhooks) and batch processing.
- Build embedded experiences using HubSpot UI Extensions (currently in beta).
Expertise You'll Bring:
- HubSpot API Expertise
- Strong familiarity with HubSpot REST APIs for CRM and custom objects.
- Hands‑on experience implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Solid understanding of HubSpot API rate limits (e.g., 100–190 requests per 10 seconds) and pagination handling.
- Data Sync & Integration
- Experience designing one‑way and bi‑directional data synchronization using HubSpot Data Sync or custom APIs.
- Proficiency with ETL / iPaaS platforms such as Workato for complex integrations.
- Strong understanding of field mapping, schema validation, and incremental sync approaches.
- Knowledge of data conflict resolution strategies for bi‑directional synchronization.
- Authentication & Security
- Experience implementing OAuth token refresh workflows and secure credential storage.
- Ability to apply RBAC and encryption for sensitive customer data.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Platform & Architecture Knowledge
- HubSpot Developer Account Setup
- Experience creating HubSpot developer and sandbox accounts for integration testing.
- Ability to develop, register, and configure applications in HubSpot's developer portal, including scope management.
- Backend System Architecture
- Proficiency in backend languages such as JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Java for API integrations.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for customer data synchronization.
- Understanding of real‑time synchronization (webhooks) versus batch‑based processing.
- UI Extensions
- Experience working with HubSpot UI Extensions (Beta) to build embedded and customized HubSpot experiences
