  • Risk Assessment: Support in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies for identified HSSE risks.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of HSSE activities, incidents, and corrective actions, preparing reports as required.
  • Emergency Response: Play a key role in emergency response procedures during your shift, ensuring effective communication and action.
  • Training & Awareness: Contribute to delivering HSSE awareness sessions and informal coaching to colleagues to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve day-to-day HSSE issues by applying known practical methods and techniques within your area of expertise, seeking guidance for more complex scenarios.
  • Process Management: Manage and oversee specific HSSE processes or programs within your shift.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other teams to embed HSSE best practices.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: Previous work experience in a related Health, Safety, and Environment (HSSE) role, or practical knowledge obtained via advanced education in relevant fields (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering).
  • HSSE Knowledge: Strong understanding of health, safety, occupational, and environmental programs, principles, and standards.
  • Incident Investigation: Proven ability to inspect incidents and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant local and international HSSE requirements and standards.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to choose between known alternatives to solve HSSE-related issues.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to convey safety information clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive Approach: A proactive mindset towards identifying and addressing potential HSSE risks.
