We are seeking a dedicated HSE Specialist to join our team and promote a positive safety culture across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System and ensuring compliance with local legislation and company policies. This role involves providing HSE support to the site team, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive safety culture through training and leading by example.
  • Implement and support the HSE Management System effectively.
  • Maintain necessary licenses as required by local government regulations.
  • Liaise with governmental bodies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies in all work activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify workplace hazards, implementing necessary controls.
  • Report and investigate incidents, including near misses, property damage, and personnel injuries, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and resolve non-conformances.
  • Provide or arrange HSE training and support Toolbox Talks.
  • Oversee the submission and tracking of Observation cards.
  • Conduct safety and housekeeping inspections.
  • Monitor and update the inspection status of lifting equipment.
  • Provide HSE induction training for new employees.
  • Maintain and report HSE statistics.
  • Lead and participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Update and disseminate emergency response procedures.
  • Manage company HSE documents and records.
  • Support the Facility HSE Representative Program.
  • Contribute to company Environment, Social, and Governance practices and reporting.
  • Ensure only approved chemicals with relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are used.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering (any specialization) or a full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE management.
