Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR partnership: Partner with senior leadership to understand strategic objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Talent management: Lead talent management processes including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development & coaching; identify talent gaps and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Staff engagement and culture: Drive staff engagement initiatives, support staff surveys, analyze feedback, and implement action plans to improve staff satisfaction and retention.
- HR compliance and staff relations: Collaborate with HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes; maintain compliance with local labor laws and Amgen policies and procedures; act as a point of contact for staff relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Change management: Lead and manage change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption; create and implement change management strategies and communicate effectively with staff.
- Data-driven decision making: Use HR metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness of HR programs and provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on key HR indicators and trends.
- Leadership and confidentiality: Provide expert HR guidance to senior leadership while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Budget ownership (as applicable): May manage HR budget for the aligned business.
Skills Required:
- 14-16 years of overall HR experience
- Minimum 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role
- Strong expertise in HR business partnering within large, global or matrix organizations
- Proven experience in talent management including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and policy governance
- Experience in managing employee relations and conflict resolution
- Strong exposure to HR operations processes (preferred)
- Experience in workforce planning and organizational design initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use HR metrics and people analytics for decision-making
- Experience driving change management programs in complex organizations
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive HR matters with discretion
- Experience in HR budget management (preferred)
- Exposure to biotech/pharma or regulated industries is an advantage
Education: Master's degree in Human Resources (or related field). 14 to 16 years of Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR management experience.
