As a Store HR, you will be the face of the People Office at the store level and play a critical role in driving employee experience, culture, talent acquisition, compliance, and people operations.
Role Overview
The Store HR will act as the People Partner for the Pune store, ensuring seamless execution of all HR processes while building a high-performance and people-first culture. This role requires a hands-on professional who can balance recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.
Role Type - Store Based role - 6 Days working and Rotational Week Off
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Drive end-to-end hiring for all store positions.
- Ensure manpower requirements are fulfilled within agreed timelines.
- Conduct screening, interviews, salary discussions, and offer rollouts.
- Coordinate joining formalities and induction programs.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires.
- Maintain hiring dashboards and recruitment trackers.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for store employees.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, and recognition programs.
- Conduct regular employee connects and pulse checks.
- Support conflict resolution and employee grievance handling.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
HR Operations
- Manage employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to separation.
- Ensure accurate employee records and documentation.
- Support payroll inputs, attendance validation, leave management, and shift-related concerns.
- Drive HRMS adoption and employee compliance on systems.
- Coordinate issuance of letters, confirmations, transfers, and other employee documentation.
Attendance & Workforce Management
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, roster adherence, and absenteeism.
- Work closely with Department Managers on manpower planning.
- Track productivity and workforce utilization metrics.
- Identify attendance trends and recommend corrective actions.
Performance Management
- Support implementation of performance management processes.
- Assist managers in goal setting, reviews, and feedback discussions.
- Track probation confirmations and employee development plans.
- Ensure timely closure of performance-related actions.
Learning & Development
- Coordinate induction and store training programs.
- Facilitate product, process, and behavioural training initiatives.
- Track training completion and effectiveness.
- Support capability-building programs across store teams.
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure adherence to labour laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Drive POSH awareness and compliance initiatives.
- Support disciplinary processes and investigations when required.
- Maintain employee files and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.
Culture & Employer Branding
- Champion Broadway's culture and values within the store.
- Drive initiatives that improve retention and employee satisfaction.
- Support internal communication and culture-building activities.
- Represent the People Office during store events and business initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience.
- Prior experience in Retail, Hospitality, QSR, Fashion, Beauty, or Consumer Businesses preferred.
- Experience handling frontline workforce management is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Recruitment and talent acquisition expertise.
- Understanding of labour laws and HR compliance.
- HRMS proficiency (Keka preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
