Job Description

Summary:

Company's Work Authorization (WA) team is seeking an HR Specialist with a product and technical background to support Work Authorization service delivery, automation initiatives, and technology projects in the Rest of World (ROW) region. The Work Authorization team ensures all employees hired into Company are legally authorized to work and remain authorized throughout their employment, mitigating risks of legal non-compliance, financial penalties, and reputational damage. This role combines compliance knowledge, product expertise, and technical requirements writing serving as a bridge between business operations and technology teams who translate Work Authorization processes and compliance requirements into clear technical specifications for scalable, tech-enabled solutions. The ROW region encompasses diverse countries with varying regulatory frameworks, requiring adaptable approaches to compliance and technology implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Write Technical Requirements for Automation and Technology Solutions: Translate Work Authorization business processes and compliance requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering and product teams. Author detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and contribute to Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
  • Apply Work Authorization and Product Expertise for ROW: Leverage knowledge of Work Authorization legal requirements, business processes, and product development methodologies to support WA systems and automation initiatives.
  • Support Automation and Technology Project Implementation: Serve as a key contributor to automation and technology projects that enhance Work Authorization service delivery. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to validate requirements, test solutions, and ensure automated workflows meet compliance requirements.
  • Bridge Business and Technical Teams: Serve as the liaison between Work Authorization operations and technology teams, translating business needs into technical language and technical constraints into business implications.
  • Support Policy Change Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of work authorization policy changes affecting Company's worker population across ROW countries.
  • Execute Process Improvement and Automation Initiatives: Execute process improvement and automation projects that drive defect reduction and service efficiency.
  • Manage Project Deliverables: Manage assigned automation and technology projects, using project management tools like Asana to track progress, identify issues, and communicate status.
  • Work Effectively in Ambiguous Situations: Contribute to technology initiatives where solutions are being defined, using product and domain knowledge to inform decisions and support goal-setting.
  • Communicate Clearly with Technical and Non-Technical Stakeholders: Create clear documentation and presentations for various audiences, including engineering teams, product managers, and business partners.
  • Provide Customer and Stakeholder Support: Provide knowledgeable support to PXT stakeholders across ROW, including WA service teams, Workforce Staffing, recruiters, and Regional PXT Partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in HR operations, compliance, immigration, or related operational settings with a demonstrated product or technical background.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience writing technical requirements (BRDs/PRDs) for product and technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of how business processes translate into technical solutions and system requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with tools and understand technical workflows, system integrations, and automation logic.
  • Experience supporting technology or automation projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with project management tools and track deliverables.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with technical teams (engineering, product, analytics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs to technical requirements and vice versa.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify automation and improvement opportunities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Work Authorization, immigration compliance, or HR compliance domains across multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with HR systems including Human Capital Management (HCM) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including understanding of system architecture and data flows.
  • Experience with process automation, workflow design, or technology-enabled service transformation.
  • Background in user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance, or business analysis for HR technology solutions.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in sprint-based environments.
  • Experience with API integrations, data mapping, or system configuration.
  • Technical certifications or coursework in product management, business analysis, or systems design.
