Job Description

A Senior HR Analyst is responsible for analyzing workforce data, improving HR processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and providing insights that help the organization manage its talent effectively.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. HR Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, validate, and analyze HR data from various systems.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on workforce metrics.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs related to recruitment, retention, turnover, absenteeism, diversity, and employee engagement.
  • Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

2. Workforce Planning

  • Support workforce forecasting and headcount planning.
  • Analyze staffing needs and organizational structures.
  • Assist leadership in resource allocation and succession planning.

3. HR Metrics and Analytics

  • Monitor key HR metrics such as:
  • Attrition/turnover rates
  • Time-to-fill positions
  • Cost-per-hire
  • Employee productivity
  • Training effectiveness
  • Present findings to HR leadership and business stakeholders.

4. HR Systems Management

  • Maintain and optimize HRIS platforms such as:
  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • Workday
  • Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.

5. Compensation and Benefits Analysis

  • Analyze salary structures and market compensation data.
  • Support annual compensation reviews and bonus planning.
  • Evaluate benefits utilization and effectiveness.

6. Talent Acquisition Analytics

  • Track recruitment performance metrics.
  • Analyze sourcing channels and hiring effectiveness.
  • Provide insights to improve recruitment strategies.

7. Employee Experience and Retention

  • Analyze employee engagement survey results.
  • Identify retention risks and turnover drivers.
  • Recommend initiatives to improve employee satisfaction.

8. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure HR reporting complies with labor laws and company policies.
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

9. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate HR processes.
  • Improve reporting efficiency and data governance.
  • Participate in HR transformation and digitalization initiatives.

10. Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Translate complex HR data into business-friendly insights.
  • Support strategic HR decision-making.

Typical Skills Required

  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA preferred)
  • SQL and database querying
  • Data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • HRIS knowledge (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
