You will be working as HR Operations Team Lead - ELC and reporting to the Hub Delivery Manager - ELC, HR Operations, based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be leading a team of 10+ members across multiple clusters and will take full accountability for the end-to-end Employee Lifecycle Management (ELC) process, delivering high-quality services against globally agreed performance targets. You will ensure a high degree of customer experience by committing to complete, accurate, and timely completion of HR transactions. You will support the globally set standards for HR Operations and ensure that local legal and regulatory requirements - including country specific laws and compliance - are adhered to within the HR Operations Hub processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Driving the end-to-end HR Operations across one or more Countries and/or Service Lines, with oversight of multiple clusters and direct supervision of Junior Team Leads and their respective reporting teams.
  • Delivering HR services according to signed-off processes, KPI and quality targets in a timely and accurate manner, covering the full spectrum of Employee Lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and other HR transactions.
  • Leading and managing a team of 10+ members, allocating work effectively across clusters, building team capability, and ensuring adequate backup strength and business continuity for key roles.
  • Handling tough conversations, managing performance discussions, and driving accountability across direct and indirect reports. Supporting Junior Team Leads in addressing team-level performance and development needs.
  • Taking ownership of escalations - driving timely resolutions, communicating proactively with stakeholders, and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Ensuring compliance with India labor laws, local regulatory requirements, GDPR, and internal control standards in all HR transactions, in collaboration with the HR Front Office Manager, across HROS service lines, HRBP's, Line Managers, COE's.
  • To be able to create impact through greater productivity, exploration, and continuous self-development using AI technology.
  • Driving a high degree of customer orientation and a proactive can-do attitude. Analyzing customer feedback and taking corrective and improvement actions to enhance the Customer Experience Journey.
  • Supporting cross-collaboration within HR Operations and other HR functions to optimize processes and tools, promoting synergies across functions.
  • Supporting the Hub Delivery Manager in implementing global initiatives such as acquisitions, divestments, new policies, and change programs within the respective team(s).
  • Continuously analyzing and optimizing operational performance across the team - managing training, knowledge transfer, quality checks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Setting clear targets and managing performance for direct reports. Proactively growing the capability of the team, encouraging open development discussions and leading with the required cultural sensitivity.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream a postgraduate degree or MBA in HR is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 to 10+ years of experience in HR Shared Services / HR Operations in a global organization.
  • Minimum 5+ years of people management experience, including managing Team Leads or senior individual contributors.
  • Proven experience managing a team size of 10+ members across multiple clusters or geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle escalations, conduct tough performance conversations, and drive outcomes in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of India labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with HR tools: ServiceNow, Workday, and SAP are mandatory.
  • Ability to leverage AI technology in HR Operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills, a collaborative solutions-oriented approach, and ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-transaction, multi-tasking team environment.
  • Flexible to work in varied shifts as required by business needs.
