Job Title: HR & Operations Coordinator (US HR & India Payroll)

About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
HR & Operations Coordinator to support
US HR operations,
India payroll, and
back-office functions including compliance, onboarding, and billing.
This is a
high-impact, multi-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced staffing or consulting environment and enjoys working across global teams. The role will also play a key part in
transitioning India payroll operations from an Employer of Record (EOR) model to an in-house structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, I-9/E-Verify, and employee records
- Coordinate India payroll (currently managed via EOR) and support transition to an internal payroll model
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with Indian statutory requirements (PF, Client, TDS, etc.)
- Manage vendor registrations and compliance across state portals and client systems (W-9, insurance, certifications, etc.)
- Maintain and track contracts, MSAs, NDAs, and documentation
- Coordinate consultant onboarding including background checks, drug screening, and payroll setup
- Oversee timesheet submissions and approvals; resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payroll
- Support billing and invoicing, including invoice submission, tracking payments, and reconciliations
- Maintain reports and trackers for compliance, contracts, consultants, and financials
- Collaborate with recruiting, sales, HR, and finance teams to support daily operations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 3-6 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or staffing coordination
- Experience with US HR processes and India payroll preferred
- Familiarity with EOR models and payroll transitions is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of compliance, onboarding, and payroll workflows
- Proficiency in Excel, HRIS/ATS systems, and documentation management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in IT staffing or consulting industry
- Knowledge of US employment laws and India statutory payroll compliance
- HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR)
