Role Overview:
We are looking for anHR Manager&Technical TalentAcquisitionspecialistwho canbuild and scale a high-performance team.The person willbe responsible forfinding exceptionalcandidates, designingacquisitionstrategiesandmanaging HR systems.OverseeingHR operations, employee relations,complianceand HR policy implementationare also included.
The ideal candidate must beexecution-oriented, highly proactive,strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of both the recruitment landscape and HR operational functions, particularly within thefast-paced working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Talent Acquisition &Hiring Systems:
- Lead thecomplete hiring lifecyclefrom role definition to onboarding.
- Designstructured hiring procedures & strategies, including screening rounds, technical tests, and interview frameworks, etc.
- Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on workforce planning.
- Identify & recruitacross multiplecategoriesincluding:
- Deep-techengineersand researchers (Project Managers, Software Developers, Full-Stack Developers, Avionics Engineers, UAV System Engineers, Drone Pilots)
- Domain experts such asretired defenceofficersandprofessors
- Freelancers & consultants
- Skilled technicians and lab staff
- Operational staff and labour whenrequired (Operations Managers, Office boy)
- Interns
- Proactivelyidentify& source exceptional talent acrossstartups, research labs, universities, and defence organizations.
- Willingnessto study technical concepts to understand therequirementsaccording to specific hiring.
- Maintain astrong pipeline and candidate databasefor future hiring needs.
- Identifyand manageassessment platformsfor technical hiring such as coding tests or engineering evaluations.
- Build strong relationships withcollege placement coordinatorsand managecampus hiring programs.
- Conductbulk hiringwhenrequired, especiallyduringproductionstages& user-trials.
- Benchmarkmarket compensation and salary structuresfordifferent roles.
- Leadsalary negotiations and offer discussionswith candidates.
2. HR Operations & Organizational Development
- Manage coreHR operations includingHRsoftware,Applicant Tracking System (ATS), documentation, and employee records.
- Enhance employer brandingthrough targeted marketing campaigns, social media presence, and engagement with potential candidates, positioning the company as an employer of choice in the deep tech industry.
- Ensure compliance withIndian labour laws, statutory requirements, PF/ESI regulations, and employment contracts.
- Coordinate with theFinance team for payroll processing, audits, andmanpowercost tracking.
- Lead theperformance management cycle, including:
- Goal setting
- Feedback systems
- Performance reviews& improvement plans
- Appraisals
- Identifyand develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Ensure employees are continuously trained on relevant topics and provided opportunities for professional growth.
- Track and analyse recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Conductemployee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Managesensitive HR conversations,resolving conflicts,performance issues, and exits.
- Ensuringsmoothoffboarding and exitprocessesandcapturing feedback for continuous improvement.
- UseAI tools and automationto improve hiring efficiency and decision-making, including:
- JD optimization
- Boolean search refinement
- Resume summarization
- Candidate scoring frameworks
- Structured interview question generation
- Resume shortlisting automation
PreferredQualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) with relevant HR experience.
Experience
- Minimum3 yearshands-onexperienceofTalent Acquisitionandrecruitment processesindeep-techindustries.
- Hands-on experience in HR operations and performance management is highly desirable, particularly within the tech industry.
Skills
- Ability toread and understand technical profilesto shortlist candidates.
- Willingness to understand technical concepts to effectively evaluate and shortlist the candidates.
- Ability to take actions and ownership of delegated works.
