Job Description

Role: Manager — Hr Manager (Supply Chain)

Location: Gurugram (with store visits)

Experience: 5–7 Years

About: Fairdeal.Market

Fairdeal.Market is a rapidly growing B2B quick commerce company offering a wide range of products with

delivery times as short as 60 minutes. Our mission is to ensure that every shopping bag worldwide can be

filled efficiently and sustainably.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly ownership-driven HR Manager to lead the off-roll workforce across all

warehouse dark stores. This role is the single point of accountability for the complete lifecycle of

contractual workforce including hiring, onboarding, payroll, compliance, performance management, and

separation — managed through staffing agencies.

As the company scales rapidly from 6 to 50 stores, this role ensures workforce readiness ahead of store

launches, zero compliance gaps, and strong frontline retention. The role works closely with SCM,

Warehouse Ops, and City teams to ensure workforce becomes a competitive advantage, not a bottleneck.

Key Responsibilities

  • Off-Roll Hiring & Talent Pipeline:
  • Own end-to-end hiring for warehouse and last-mile roles (Warehouse Executives, LM Executives, Pickers,

Packers, Helpers)

  • Maintain a live hiring pipeline for upcoming store launches (minimum next 3 stores)
  • Partner with staffing agencies to source and onboard within defined TAT
  • Ensure stores are fully staffed before go-live — no launch delays
  • Build local talent pools in high-density labour markets
  • Onboarding & Documentation:
  • Drive structured onboarding including induction, safety training, and SOP sign-offs
  • Ensure complete documentation: KYC, bank details, PF/ESIC enrolment
  • Ensure onboarding-to-productivity within defined timelines
  • Maintain audit-ready digital records for all off-roll staff
  • Ensure no employee starts without complete documentation
  • Payroll Management:
  • Own end-to-end payroll coordination with staffing agencies
  • Validate attendance, overtime, and deductions before payroll processing
  • Ensure salary disbursement by the 7th of every month — zero delays
  • Resolve payroll queries within defined TAT
  • Reconcile payroll costs and track manpower cost per order (CPO)
  • Statutory Compliance & Labour Law:
  • Ensure 100% compliance with PF, ESIC, minimum wages, labour laws
  • Manage labour licenses, registrations, and contractor compliance
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits across all stores
  • Liaise with labour authorities for inspections and notices
  • Stay updated on labour law changes and implement proactively
  • Employee Lifecycle Management:
  • Own the full lifecycle: hiring → onboarding → performance → grievance → separation
  • Conduct regular HR touchpoints across stores for engagement and issue resolution
  • Manage disciplinary processes and documentation
  • Handle exit processes including F&F settlement and documentation
  • Track attrition trends and share insights with leadership
  • Staffing Agency Management:
  • Manage end-to-end relationships with staffing agencies
  • Define SLAs and conduct monthly performance reviews
  • Ensure multiple agency partnerships to avoid dependency
  • Validate agency billing and prevent discrepancies
  • Drive cost optimization through negotiations and scale efficiencies
  • Workforce Planning & Scale Readiness:
  • Maintain rolling workforce plan aligned with store expansion
  • Forecast manpower needs by city and store
  • Flag hiring risks proactively before store launches
  • Provide manpower cost and productivity insights to SCM and Finance
  • Track labour market trends and competitor hiring activity

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5–7 years of HR experience with strong exposure to off-roll / contractual workforce
  • Hands-on experience managing payroll for large frontline teams (100+ headcount)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws (PF, ESIC, Contract Labour Act, etc.)
  • Experience managing staffing agencies and vendor SLAs
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, operations-heavy environments
  • High ownership mindset with strong execution capability

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management
  • Process-driven and detail-oriented
  • High accountability for payroll and compliance
  • Frontline empathy and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to handle scale and ambiguity
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
