Key responsibilities

People foundation

• Establish core HR infrastructure: policies, employment contracts, employee records, and documentation
• Ensure statutory and labour-law compliance, including PoSH
• Build processes that are rigorous without being bureaucratic

Talent acquisition and onboarding

• Own hiring end to end across engineering, QA, design, clinical advisory, and internship roles
• Manage sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer processes
• Design onboarding that gets new joiners productive and connected quickly

Employee experience and engagement

• Build engagement practices suited to a remote, async team, connection without meeting overload
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievance resolution
• Establish feedback mechanisms that respect focused work

Performance and development

• Implement lightweight goal-setting and review cycles appropriate to company stage
• Partner with team leads on capability building and individual development
• Identify training needs and coordinate learning interventions

Culture

• Protect psychological safety as a practiced norm, not a stated value
• Partner with the founder on organisational design as the team scales

Candidate profile

• 1–3 years of HR experience, with meaningful generalist or HR business partner exposure
• Startup or high-growth environment experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ownership of hiring pipelines, not solely coordination
• Working knowledge of Indian labour compliance, PoSH, and employment documentation
• Comfort operating without an existing playbook
• Genuine interest in workplace mental health
