Job Description
JD: HR Manager (Commodities Trading, Singapore)
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all functions
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and external partners.
- Enhance employer branding and candidate experience.
- Ensure timely onboarding and successful integration of new employees.
2. HR Business Partner (HRBP)
- Partner with CEO to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide professional advice on organizational structure, workforce planning and people management.
- Support CEO in employee performance, coaching and talent development.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting and performance reviews.
- Identify organizational capability gaps and recommend HR solutions.
- Monitor, interpret, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations across countries where the Company operates (including Singapore, Switzerland, Indonesia, and other jurisdictions), ensuring all HR policies, practices, and employment activities remain fully compliant with local legal requirements while effectively mitigating employment-related risks
3. Compensation & Benefits
- Manage payroll coordination and ensure accurate salary administration.
- Administer employee benefits, insurance, leave, incentives and statutory contributions.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis.
- Develop competitive compensation policies aligned with company strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore/other countries (Switzerland, Indonesia…) employment regulations and tax requirements.
4. HR Services & Operations
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Maintain employee records and HR data accurately.
- Prepare employment contracts, HR letters and employment-related documentation.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and effectively implemented.
- Improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Coordinate immigration and Employment Pass/Work Pass applications where applicable.
5. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Maintain positive employee relations and foster an engaging workplace culture.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act and all relevant employment legislation.
- Work closely with Legal and external authorities when necessary.
- Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years as an HR Manager or Senior HRBP.
- Experience covering multiple HR disciplines including Recruitment, HRBP, HR Operations and Compensation & Benefits.
- Experience working in multinational companies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore employment legislation and HR practices.
- Experience supporting regional businesses is an advantage.
