Position Summary

We are looking for a meticulous, experienced HR Manager to lead our Talent acquisition & workforce planning, payroll processing and statutory compliance operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Saral Payroll software, comprehensive attendance management, and deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory filings (PF, ESI, PT), half-yearly/annual returns, and the renewal of major establishment licenses (Factory License, Shop & Establishment).

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with department heads to forecast manpower requirements for production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and administrative teams.
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for both contract/temporary labor and permanent shop-floor and managerial staff.
  • Implement effective onboarding programs to ensure rapid integration and a strong safety-first mindset from day one.
  • Payroll & Attendance Management
  • End-to-End Processing: Manage monthly payroll processing for employees using Saral Payroll software accurately and within defined timelines.
  • Attendance & Leave Integration: Oversee time-office management, consolidate attendance, shift rosters, and leave logs, and reconcile discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Inputs & Deductions: Handle inputs related to variable pay, incentives, loans, advances, overtime (OT), and stop-pay requests.
  • Outputs & Reporting: Generate salary sheets, bank transfer statements, pay slips, and MIS reports for management review.
  • Statutory Compliances & Filings (PF, ESI, PT)
  • Monthly Calculations & Remittances: Ensure timely calculation, generation of challans, and deposition of Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and Professional Tax (PT) within statutory due dates.
  • Periodic Returns: Prepare and file Half-Yearly and Annual Returns under applicable labor legislations seamlessly.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for government authorities, inspectors, and external statutory auditors during audits or inspections.
  • Licenses, Registrations & Renewals
  • Factory License: Manage timely Factory License renewals, amendments, and compliance with the Factories Act provisions (safety records, worker registers, etc.), if applicable.
  • Shop & Establishment Act: Handle Shop and Establishment License renewals, timely registration updates, and display management.
  • Other Registrations: Track and execute renewals for other regional/central labour licenses (e.g., Contract Labour, LWF if applicable).
  • Full & Final (F&F) Settlements & Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Exit Processing: Process full and final settlements for resigned/terminated employees, including gratuity, leave encashment, and notice-pay calculations.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve employee queries regarding salary structures, tax deductions, PF transfers/withdrawals, and ESIC benefits efficiently.
  • Plant Safety, Health & Employee Engagement
  • Collaborate with the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team to foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with mandatory safety training.
  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives tailored to shift workers and shop-floor personnel (e.g., reward and recognition programs, health camps, skill competitions).
  • Monitor employee turnover, absenteeism, and morale, implementing data-driven retention strategies.
  • Performance Management & Training
  • Administer performance appraisal cycles for plant staff, linking goals to plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical, safety, and soft-skills training programs in alignment with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years of core corporate experience specializing in Payroll and Statutory Compliance.
  • Software Mastery: Mandatory hands-on expertise in Saral Payroll software and proficiency in Advanced MS Excel.
  • Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the Factories Act, Shops & Establishment Act, PF & ESI Act, Professional Tax Act, Payment of Wages Act, and Minimum Wages Act.
