Why this internship matters
We're building Moring.ai's India operations from scratch, and we want a sharp, hungry intern to help us do it. This isn't a coffee-and-filing internship. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the team building our HR and office function from day one — and walk away having actually built things that a fast-growing startup runs on.
If you're early in your career, love organising chaos into systems, and want a front-row seat to how a startup scales its people and operations, read on.
What you'll get your hands on
- Talent acquisition support: help source and screen candidates, schedule interviews, and keep our hiring pipeline moving.
- Onboarding & people ops: help welcome new hires, prepare onboarding kits, and keep employee records and HR trackers tidy and up to date.
- Office & administration: pitch in on the day-to-day — facilities, vendors, supplies, travel, and events that keep the Chennai office running.
- Coordination & communication: be a friendly point of contact for candidates and employees, and help make every interaction with Moring feel great.
- Systems & process: help set up and improve the lightweight tools, templates, and checklists that a scaling company needs.
What we're looking for
- A recent graduate or final-year student in HR, business, psychology, or a related field — or anyone genuinely excited to start a career in people and operations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable — you follow through and close loops.
- Strong communication and people skills; warm, professional, and quick to build rapport.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and eager to learn; you ask questions and take initiative.
- Handy with everyday tools (Google Workspace / spreadsheets) and quick to pick up new ones.
- Based in or able to commute to Chennai for an on-site internship.
What's in it for you
- Real ownership of real work — not busywork — with mentorship from people who've built HR functions before.
- A close-up view of how an early-stage startup scales its people and operations.
- A monthly stipend, a certificate, and a strong reference for the work you actually do.
- A genuine path to a full-time HR Generalist role for the right performer.
