Job Description

Role Overview:

Aurigo is the AI-native platform for capital owners, connecting planning, decision-making, and execution in a single environment where intelligence operates within workflows. As we scale our Austin, TX operations, we are seeking a driven and people-focused HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle and help foster a high-performance, inclusive culture.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees alike — handling day-to-day HR operations, driving engagement initiatives, ensuring compliance, and supporting talent acquisition. You will play a key part in building the infrastructure that helps Aurigo's team thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS data integrity.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance, conflict resolution, and escalation support.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment efforts — drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offers.
  • Administer and interpret HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and equitable application across the organization.
  • Support performance management processes including goal-setting cycles, mid-year check-ins, and annual reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including Texas-specific regulations and Austin municipal requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver HR training programs on topics such as anti-harassment, diversity and inclusion, and manager effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports and metrics to inform leadership decisions.
  • Drive employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building activities.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams to support cross-functional HR needs.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and programs.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Employees and managers view HR as a reliable, proactive, and approachable partner.
  • HR processes run efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with applicable laws.
  • Onboarding experiences consistently earn high satisfaction scores from new hires.
  • Employee relations matters are handled with fairness, discretion, and timely resolution.
  • HR data and reporting provide meaningful insight that drives smarter people decisions.
  • Aurigo's Austin office is recognized as a great place to work, with strong retention and engagement scores.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent from premier institutes
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, ideally in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
  • Working knowledge of Texas employment law, Austin local ordinances, and federal HR compliance requirements (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, HIPAA).
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust quickly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
