Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern/ HR Executive to join our team at VVT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai. This entry-level role will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, with a focus on attendance management, payroll processing, ensuring statutory compliance, and fostering positive employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, eager to learn and contribute to a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attendance Management:
- Maintain and update employee attendance records accurately and efficiently.
- Track leaves, holidays, and other absences in accordance with company policy.
- Generate attendance reports and address discrepancies.
- Implementation and management of the attendance system.
- Payroll Processing:
- Preparation and processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collect and verify payroll-related data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee information.
- Address employee queries related to payroll.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Statutory Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations (e.g., PF, ESI, PT, Minimum Wages, etc.).
- Maintain and update relevant statutory registers and records.
- Support the preparation and submission of statutory returns.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and inform the HR Manager accordingly.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the HR Manager in addressing employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with all employees.
- General HR Support:
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including scheduling interviews and preparing documentation.
- Maintain employee files and HR databases.
- Support the HR Manager in various HR projects and initiatives.
- Assist with employee communication and announcements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience in HR (internships or entry-level roles preferred).
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Familiarity with attendance management and payroll processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of basic labor laws and statutory compliance requirements in India, particularly in Tamil Nadu.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
