4. Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HR & Compliance Manager to lead and oversee human resources operations for a growing U.S.-based company. This individual will serve as the primary owner of employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance management, employee relations, and HR operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing HR functions within a fast-paced professional services environment. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure compliance, maintain a best-in-class employee experience, and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Serve as the primary owner of HR compliance and employment-related policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment requirements, and workforce regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR procedures.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy and process improvements.
  • Maintain documentation and records necessary for audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements.

Benefits Administration

  • Manage all employee benefits programs and related processes.
  • Coordinate benefit enrollments, renewals, changes, and employee communications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with insurance providers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Resolve employee benefit inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to employee benefits programs.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Lead all employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure timely completion of employment documentation, system access, training, and orientation activities.
  • Maintain personnel records and HR information systems.
  • Develop and improve processes that enhance the employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

HR Operations

  • Oversee leave administration, employee status changes, personnel administration, and HR recordkeeping.
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Generate HR reports, workforce metrics, and management dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and operational efficiency.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers.
  • Address employee concerns, workplace issues, and policy-related questions.
  • Assist leadership with performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

5. Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR management responsibilities.
  • Strong experience in benefits administration and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee onboarding and offboarding programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with U.S.-based leadership teams.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based organizations.
  • Experience developing HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance programs.
  • Experience in professional services, accounting, consulting, staffing, or technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to build and scale HR processes in a growing company environment.
