HPC System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced HPC System Administrator to join a dynamic and globally dispersed team dedicated to cutting-edge research and innovation. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting high-performance trading infrastructure and computing environments that drive global financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support high-performance compute and storage systems.
- Monitor and enhance system performance, including network components.
- Develop tools for production environment management and write automation scripts.
- Create and improve user documentation for internal teams.
- Provide operational support on a rotational basis.
- Continuously seek to eliminate inefficiencies and downtime through detailed root cause analysis.
Required Skills
- Linux Systems Administration: Extensive experience in managing Linux environments.
- Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Go or Python.
- Distributed Systems: Expertise in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex systems with interdependent components.
- Configuration Management Tools: Experience with tools like SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet for effective system configuration management.
- High-Performance Computing (HPC): Knowledge of parallel filesystems, batch systems (e.g., Slurm), or high-performance network interconnects is a plus but not mandatory.
- Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills with a focus on performing detailed root cause analyses.
