Job Description
We are hiring an HPC Storage Systems Engineer to design and operate distributed storage platforms used for quantitative research and trading workloads.
This role focuses on HPC environments, distributed file systems, and Linux systems engineering, with ownership across system design, deployment, debugging, and performance optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate distributed storage systems (GPFS, Lustre, Ceph or similar)
- Work on storage systems in HPC and cluster-based environments
- Debug issues across storage, compute, and OS layers
- Tune system performance across IO, filesystem, and workload behaviour
- Build internal tooling for monitoring and system visibility
- Work with Linux internals and systems-level code where required
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in HPC, distributed systems, or systems engineering
- Strong Linux fundamentals (filesystem, memory, IO)
- Experience with distributed file systems (GPFS, Lustre, Ceph, etc.)
- Programming experience in C, C++, or Python
- Experience debugging system-level or performance issues
