HPC & Infrastructure Engineer

 Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and supporting HPC (High-Performance Computing) and storage systems on-premises and in cloud clusters.
• Troubleshoot issues related to OS, storage, network, and other infrastructure components in collaboration with other infrastructure teams.
• Enhance research infrastructure by exploring and deploying new technologies and methodologies.
• Support management of diverse compute capabilities, including CPU and GPU resources.
• Work directly with trading teams to provide a fully integrated research platform.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience in HPC, storage, or infrastructure support.
• Experience with distributed file systems such as NFS and Weka.
• Familiarity with job schedulers such as Slurm.
• Experience with cloud providers like GCP or AWS.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP stack, Ethernet).
• Understanding of Linux kernel concepts (e.g., virtual memory, filesystems, CPU scheduling).
• Programming experience with Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of hardware and server components.
• Strong communication skills and interest in tracking hardware/software technology trends.
