Role Overview
Experienced
Senior HPC Engineer / Architectspecializing in
Linux-based high-performance computing (HPC) environments,
EDA workflows, and
automation-driven infrastructure. Proven expertise in designing, managing, and optimising
large-scale distributed HPC clusterssupporting
ASIC EDA workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and managelarge-scale distributed HPC environmentsacross global locations, supportingASIC and GPU compute clusters
- Design and implementinfrastructure automationusingAnsible, Shell, and Pythonfor system lifecycle management
- Administer and optimize workload schedulers (LSF, Slurm, NC) includingqueue configuration, fair-share policies, and job prioritization
- Performdeep troubleshooting and root cause analysisacross compute, storage, networking, and scheduler layers
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improveEDA workload performance and efficiencyin global HPC environments
- Develop and deployself-service automation solutionsto reduce manual effort and improve system reliability
- Manage and supportEDA ecosystemincluding tool deployment (Cadence, Synopsys), licensing, and workflow optimization
- Implementmonitoring & observability frameworksusing tools likeSplunk, Grafanafor proactive issue detection
- Drivecapacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimizationfor HPC workloads
- Create and maintaintechnical documentation, runbooks, and operational standards
- Providetechnical leadership and mentoring, influencing HPC architecture and long-term strategy

- Extensive experience with job schedulers such as LSF, Slurm, or equivalent platforms
- Experience supportingEDA / semiconductor design environments
- Exposure toGPU computing and accelerator-based workloads
- Knowledge ofEDA licensing systems and optimization
- Experience withInfrastructure as Code (IaC)and platform standardization
- Familiarity withcloud or hybrid HPC architectures (AWS/Azure HPC)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience inLinux system administration (RHEL/CentOS)
- Strong expertise inHPC cluster management and workload schedulers (LSF/Slurm)
- Proven experience inautomation and scripting (Ansible, Shell, Python and AI integration)
- Hands-on experience managinglarge-scale HPC or EDA environments
- Strong skills inperformance tuning, capacity planning, and workload optimization
- Excellenttroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsin complex production environments
- Ability tolead projects end-to-endand work with cross-functional teams
