Baia Do Sol is a 19-room Boutique Beach Resort located at Baga Lands-End, set amid coconut trees, lush gardens, and the tranquil banks of the Baga river facing the Arabian Sea. The resort offers a relaxed, scenic environment ideal for guests who enjoy sun, sand, water, and fun. Its multi-cuisine restaurant, Aquamarine, features a 50-seat dining area with an open deck overlooking the sea and estuary, serving buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner, and high tea to resident guests. Run by a local Goan family for over 50 years, Baia Do Sol is one of Baga's oldest hotels and is now expanding restaurant operations to welcome local residents and tourists to its Goan and Indian cuisine. This growth phase offers team members the opportunity to be part of a heritage property entering an exciting new chapter.

Role Description

The Hotel In-Charge role is a full-time, on-site position based in Baga, responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel and restaurant operations at Baia Do Sol. The role includes supervising front office and guest services, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. The Hotel In-Charge will manage food and beverage service at Aquamarine, support menu implementation, and ensure efficient service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and high tea. Daily tasks involve handling guest inquiries and feedback, resolving issues promptly, managing reservations, overseeing staff schedules, and supporting training to maintain consistent service quality. The role also includes monitoring inventory, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and supporting management with basic reporting on occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are on the verge of retiring/have retired from their jobs in a managerial/administrative role would be preferred.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and the ability to coordinate across teams.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction, problem solving, and handling queries and feedback professionally.
  • Candidates should possess Food & Beverage knowledge, including basic understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and menu presentation.
  • Candidates should possess Hospitality skills, such as front office operations, guest relations, and overall hotel service management.
  • Candidates should possess Training abilities, including mentoring staff, conducting briefings, and supporting ongoing skill development.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in hotel or resort management, familiarity with coastal or leisure properties, and basic knowledge of reservations systems.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, along with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead diverse teams respectfully and inclusively are highly valued.
