Job Description

We're Hiring: General Manager — Kartar Guest House, Kanpur

Kartar Guest House is a well-established hospitality property in Kanpur. We're looking for a General Manager who can take operational ownership of a running property — not build from scratch, but tighten what exists, lead a team, and hold the standard.

What the role actually is: Day-to-day operations, staff management, guest experience, vendor relationships, and P&L accountability. You'll report directly to ownership. This is a hands-on role — if you're a delegate and review person, this isn't the right fit.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in hotel or guest house operations, with at least 2 in a leadership role
  • Strong grip on F&B, housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance coordination
  • Comfortable with OTA platforms (MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, etc.) and basic yield management
  • Experience handling corporate accounts and walk-in guests both
  • Someone who treats occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR as actual KPIs — not just terms

What matters more than your degree: How you handle a problem at 11pm. How you talk to staff. Whether guests come back.

Location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh (on-site, full-time)
