The Role
We are looking for a General Manager who can hold the full SARC operation together — operationally, culturally, and commercially. This is not a conventional single-property hotel GM role. You will own the daily operating rhythm of all three brands, translate the founders vision into disciplined execution, and build the management infrastructure that allows SARC to scale.
You will be the senior-most operator in the organisation — the person the team looks to for decisions, direction, and standards. You will work closely with both founders: Chaitanya, who brings vision, energy, and brand instinct; and Aishwarya, who brings systems, strategy, and execution rigour. You will be the operational bridge between them and the 60-person team.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Standards
– Own the full daily operating rhythm across Centro, Chirp, and Bloom — SOPs, service standards, opening/closing protocols, and escalation frameworks
– Ensure consistent delivery of the guest experience across all three brands, from room cleanliness at Centro to event execution at Bloom to menu storytelling at Chirp
– Drive occupancy, RevPAR, covers, and event revenue in coordination with the founders and brand leads
– Oversee linen management, housekeeping, F&B operations, front office, and event logistics as integrated systems, not silos
– Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and cost controls across all outlets
People & Culture
– Lead, mentor, and develop department heads across Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, and Events
– Drive hiring across open roles — currently including Front Office Manager and F&B Manager — in partnership with the founders and HR Lead
– Build a culture of accountability, warmth, and craft — where every team member understands that their work creates memories for guests
– Conduct structured performance reviews, manage PIPs, and maintain team morale and retention
– Champion SARC's values and brand voice internally — ensuring staff understand what makes each brand different and why it matters
Financial Management
– Monitor monthly P&L across all three brands, flagging variances and driving corrective actions
– Own the budgeting process in coordination with the founders and finance function
– Track cash controls, daily revenue reporting, and deposit reconciliation through SARC's internal tools
– Identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising guest experience or staff welfare
Brand Stewardship
– Deeply understand the distinct identity of each brand — Centro's quiet refinement, Chirp's cultural energy, Bloom's celebratory warmth — and protect those identities in every operational decision
– Collaborate with the founders on seasonal campaigns, new menu launches, event concepts, and experience design
– Be a credible face of the organisation with corporate clients, event planners, and community partners
Growth & Projects
– Support feasibility evaluation and pre-opening planning as SARC explores new property opportunities
– Drive cross-brand initiatives — packaging, bundling, loyalty, and experience design — that increase guest lifetime value
– Work with the founders on systemisation projects, including SOP documentation, staff training frameworks, and technology adoption
What You Bring
Experience
– 8–14 years in hospitality operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (GM, Deputy GM, or Cluster GM)
– Experience across hotel and F&B operations is strongly preferred — you must be equally comfortable reviewing RevPAR as you are tasting a new dish
– Prior exposure to boutique or independent hospitality (as opposed to large chains only) is a significant advantage
– Event or banqueting operations experience is a plus
– Pune-based or willing to relocate immediately
Skills & Competencies
– Exceptional people leadership — you inspire trust, command respect, and develop the people around you
– Strong commercial acumen — you read a P&L fluently and make decisions that protect margin without sacrificing experience
– Operational discipline — you build systems, follow up on commitments, and hold standards even under pressure
– Aesthetic sensibility — you notice the details guests notice; you care about how things look, feel, and sound
– Communication — articulate, direct, and warm; equally effective with founders, staff, and guests
– Comfort with technology — from OTA dashboards to internal cash management tools to basic productivity software
Who You Are
– A builder, not just a manager — you want to leave the organisation structurally stronger than you found it
– A hospitality person at your core — you genuinely love what great service feels like and you hold others to that standard
– Humble enough to learn the SARC way, confident enough to challenge it when needed
– Energised by variety — no two days are the same across three distinct brands
– Committed to staying — we are looking for a long-term leader, not a short-term fixer
What You Get
– A senior leadership role with genuine authority and close access to founding leadership
– The opportunity to help shape a growing, design-forward hospitality brand at a formative moment
– Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives tied to brand P&L
– A culture that takes its work seriously but doesn't take itself too seriously — warmth, wit, and craft are our operating system
– Visibility across three distinct brands — a portfolio role that will develop your leadership range
