Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Host/Hostess role based at Copper Chimney Restaurant in Pune City. The person in this position will greet guests warmly, manage reservations and walk-ins, and efficiently organize seating to ensure smooth table turnover. Daily responsibilities include answering phone calls, providing accurate wait-time estimates, guiding guests to their tables, and coordinating with servers and management to support service flow. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized host station, presenting menus, and assisting with guest inquiries or special requests. The Host/Hostess is expected to provide courteous, professional service at all times, uphold restaurant standards, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a welcoming, professional rapport with guests and team members.
- Customer service experience, with a focus on handling guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests courteously and efficiently.
- Clear verbal communication skills and confident phone etiquette for managing reservations, take-inquiries, and guest coordination.
- Experience with reservations and seating management systems or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak service hours.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability, with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
