The Warden is responsible for maintaining discipline, safety, and overall well-being of students residing in the hostel/campus accommodation. The Warden ensures smooth day-to-day hostel operations, creates a safe and supportive environment for students, and coordinates with university authorities regarding student welfare and administrative matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage hostel operations and student accommodation facilities.
- Maintain discipline, security, and proper conduct among students residing in the hostel.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel premises.
- Address student concerns, grievances, and emergencies promptly.
- Monitor attendance and movement of hostel residents as per university policies.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, mess, and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with hostel rules, university regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain records related to hostel occupancy, visitor logs, complaints, and incidents.
- Organize hostel meetings, awareness sessions, and student engagement activities.
- Handle emergency situations, medical issues, and crisis management effectively.
- Work closely with parents/guardians when required regarding student welfare matters.
- Prepare periodic reports and submit updates to university management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience in hostel administration, student affairs, or residential management preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, discipline, management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle students with patience, professionalism, and empathy.
