Job Description
As the Hostel Warden at Chandigarh University, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including managing the general maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the students living in the hostel, including implementing and monitoring safety and security measures.
- Providing guidance, support, and mentoring to the students, and acting as a point of contact for any issues or concerns they may have.
- Enforcing the hostel rules and regulations, and addressing any violations or disciplinary issues that arise.
- Collaborating with other university staff members, including the student affairs team and the academic faculty, to ensure that the students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or psychology.
- Previous experience working in a residential setting, such as a hostel, boarding school, or similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Good knowledge of excel, word & emails.
